WTF AIG?
The country’s financial foundation is crumbling. US citizens are losing jobs, money, homes and patience. Who’s to blame? So many things are the blame, but AIG has the misfortune of being one of the faces associated with the country’s current financial woes. AIG’s alleged mismanagement and poor financial decisions has placed the company in the center of country’s resentment bull’s eye.
Fast forward to now; after the billions of tax-payer’s dollars to “bail-out” one of the country’s leading insurance companies; in a sense insuring the company’s future. MILLION DOLLAR plus bonuses. Ok, I understand that companies give their employees bonuses when the company turns a profit. Why the hell are employees of a failing company getting million dollar plus bonuses?
Edward M. Liddy, Chairman and CEO of AIG, wrote a letter offering the reason for the decisions and plans for the future. Click here if you’d like to read the letter. It’s a good read. He pretty much says that the decision to pay the bonuses was approved sometime last year, when he was not in power. All I’m saying is, you are in power now. Those bonuses should have been revoked. All the higher ups need to be replaced and AIG needs to start earning their keep or be dismantled. That’s just what I think.
What do you think?

The other day I signed up f or a free one month subscription for the navigation feature on my cell phone. My GPS in the car was acting up, so I decided what the heck; let’s see how this little feature handles.
Five days later, I hadn’t used the feature yet, but today is the day for new things. Ok, I have no idea where the navigation feature is on the phone, so I am searching. What I run into is the MobiTV feature. This little feature allows you to watch streaming television shows on your phone. I accidentally hit the activate button and was quickly warned that this feature uses up a lot of data and recommend that I have a plan in place.
So, you know me, I canceled going in, or so I thought. Next thing I know I am looking at the news on ABC. It caught my attention. I saw a <guide> button, so I pushed it and it listed all the channels I could get; the local networks, ESPN, SCI-FI and lots more. Needless to say, I opened up a chat session online with AT&T and I subscribed to the PDA Plan.
Life is good.
Oh yeah, I still have no idea where the navigation feature is. (smile)

So what do women want? What do men want? We all think that we have the answers and something in life always catches us off guard.
I watched My Best Friend’s Girl, and I must say I really enjoyed it. If you can get past the vulgarity and intense sexual scenes of the movie, it has a pretty good message.
Anyway, here is a brief recap of the movie.
Dustin, an amiable guy, is in love with Alexis, a coworker. When she tells him she just wants to be friends, he hires his roommate Tank, a fast-talking, amoral scoundrel who has a side business: men whose women have dumped them hire Tank to take their ex-girlfriends out on the date from Hell, to drive the women back into their old boyfriends’ arms. He takes out Alexis who, against her better judgment, decides she needs some randy fun, so Tank is in a quandary: take Alexis up on her offer, or stay true to his friend. More complications ensue as the wedding of Alexis’ sister approaches. Tank seeks advice from his father, Dustin pursues Alexis, and questions of self-worth need answers.
