I’d like to first take an opportunity to welcome you all to THINKING!

With the coming of each New Year, new thoughts (and some old ones) of becoming a better you creep into the mind in the guise of resolutions. These declarations are pursued with much vigor initially, but as the year progresses, the drive lessens. Slowly, these New Year’s resolutions are put on hold as the year gets older; most are abandoned all together. There’s always next year.

Does this sound about correct to you? If so, I’d like for you to forget about New Year’s resolutions in 2009. I’d like to solicit your to think with me. Sounds absurd? I believe that making resolutions every year that you can’t possibly achieve is absurd. It’s not that the beginning of the year’s goal is unattainable. It’s that your old way of thinking is trying to achieve a thing that requires a new way of thinking.
